We've covered the basic features and benefits of Aftershoot AI-Powered Culling and AI-Powered Editing. Now it's time to see how to harness the benefits of the synergy between the two.

There are two different workflows depending on whether you wish to edit by using Lightroom/Capture One catalogs or RAW/JPEG files. We will start with the latter one

To begin a new project head to Aftershoot's home screen and click on +New Album to begin. Select Start Culling and proceed by uploading the images you wish to work with.

To begin a new project head over to Aftershoot's Home Screen and click on +New Album or Create New Album. On the Import screen upload your images in the form of RAW/JPEG folders and click on the Cull tab at the top of your screen.

Then click on Start Culling, select the type of Cull you wish to run, set up your culling preferences, and click on another Start Culling button.

Once the Cull is complete, review the results, and make changes to the AI's selection if necessary. If you made changes don't forget to click on Save Changes!

With your Cull done, it's time to move on by clicking on the Edit tab, which is to the right of the Cull tab.

Select the Personal AI Editing Profile or AI Style you wish to use, the Color Profile, and set up the rest of your Editing Preferences. Then, if needed, filter the culled images further and click on the Edit X Photos button.

When the editing process is finished you will get a notification inside the app and an email. Afterward, click on the Review button.

From there you can export your images directly into your software of choice by clicking on Review in Lightroom or Review in Capture One to open the edited images directly.

Once the Cull is complete, review the results, and make changes to the AI's selection if necessary. If you made changes don't forget to click on Save Changes!

The next step is to click on Export and choose Lightroom or Capture One for direct export of the images you wish to edit.

Open one of the two, and create a new catalog or add the photos to an existing catalog. Once the software is done importing you will see the Star Ratings and Color Labels assigned in Aftershoot appear. Once that happens export the catalog you wish to edit.

Note: Enable Build Smart Previews in Lightroom or Generate Previews in Capture One for faster editing in Aftershoot. The previews can be any size, but for the sake of speed, we recommend opting for the smallest one.

Go back to Aftershoot's Home Screen and click on Create New Album or + New Album.

On the Import screen upload the Lightroom or Capture One catalog you wish to edit and then click on the Edit tab at the top of the screen.

Next, use the filters to select the images you want to edit, by using Star Ratings and Color Labels. You will also see if any images cannot be edited due to missing RAW files or Smart Previews.

Last, but certainly not least, select the Personal AI Editing Profile or AI Style you want to use to edit these images. Then choose the Color Profile, and if you wish to use automatic cropping and straightening.

Now all that's left to do is click on Start Editing, sit back, and watch our Magical Unicorns take care of your photos.

When the process is finished you will get a notification inside the app and an email. Afterward, click on Export, and then on Review in Lr or Review in Capture One to open the edited catalog directly in the corresponding app.

Once in Lightroom or Capture One you can filter your images by Star Rating and Color Labels and make the final editing touches on your photos.
