With an ever-growing selection of pre-built AI & Creator Styles in the Aftershoot Marketplace, you can sometimes get lost in the variety. In this article, we’ll go over how you can easily compare multiple Styles and choose the one that fits you best.
How Do I Compare Pre-built Styles?
First things first - go to the Aftershoot Marketplace and click on the Compare Profiles button in the upper right corner.
On this screen, you can compare up to 3 AI or Creator Styles at the same time. Simply scroll through the list in the right-hand drawer and click on the ones you like to select them. To deselect, simply click on them once more.
You can also enter comparison mode by double-clicking on a Style you like and clicking on the Compare Profiles button inside it.
Note: You need an active internet connection to be able to compare all available Styles in the Marketplace. In case you’re not connected to the internet, you’ll only be able to compare Styles that are already downloaded onto your system.
Styles are separated into 3 categories – Recommended, Aftershoot, and Creators. You can close a certain category by clicking on its name and doing the same to open it back.
You can also change the default stock image by clicking on the Change Image tab in the upper right corner of the screen. Currently, when you enter comparison mode from the Aftershoot Marketplace, you can only choose from stock images, with support for your own images coming soon.
Note: If you want to compare JPEG pre-built Styles, you will need to choose a JPEG stock image. The same applies to RAW pre-built Styles – you’ll have to choose a RAW stock image.
Once you’ve decided on a Style, simply click on the Download button, and when that’s done, click on the Start Editing button.
Note: Some Creator Styles in the Marketplace aren’t covered under your subscription. To use them to edit, you’d have to make a purchase or limit yourself to the free image limit trial.
Can I Compare Pre-built Styles in The Edit Tab?
Of course you can! Simply upload your images and go to the Edit tab. If you’ve previously edited in Aftershoot, you will see this screen. Click the Create or browse profiles button under the AI Profile selection dropdown.
If it’s your first time in the Edit tab, you will see this right-hand drawer from the start. Now, here you can select a Style by scrolling through the drawer and seeing how it would look on your selected image.
If a certain Style catches your eye, double-click on it. Now you can use the Before/After slider to see how it will look on the image you selected and the ones immediately after it. If you wish to see how the Style would look on another image, simply select it with your cursor and press the M key – it will now display in the right-hand drawer.
Now, to compare different Styles on this particular image, click on Compare Profiles next to Marketplace AI Styles.
Now that you’re on an already familiar screen, proceed to compare Styles the same way as was explained above.
