In this article, we will cover how you can improve and quicken up your workflow by using a combination of your mouse or trackpad and our Spray Can Mode.
What is The Spray Can Mode?
In essence, it’s a tool with a single goal - to allow you to perform certain actions via a mouse or trackpad quickly and cull your photos much faster. That’s possible by assigning these actions to:
Left-click
Right-click
CMD/CTRL + Left-click
CMD/CTRL + Right-click
What Actions Can I Assign?
When designing the Spray Can Mode our mission was to make it as useful and flexible as possible. There’s a variety of actions that can be used concurrently to bring value to any workflow:
Accept Images - by adding them to Selected, Highlights, or Maybe.
Reject Images - by sending them to Duplicates, Closed Eyes, Blurred, or Removing them altogether.
Separate Images - into a different folder by assigning My Selections.
Swap Image - inside a duplicate set with a single click.
Change Star Rating and/or Color Label - by assigning separate ratings or a combination of Stars and Colors.
How Do I Use Spray Can Mode?
Step 1. Open Spray Can Mode
Once your Cull is completed, look at the top of the screen for a Spray Can icon and click on it. Note that the Spray Can Mode is only available in Grid View and Survey Mode.
Step 2. Assign Actions
Once in Spray Can Mode click on the Gear icon to begin assigning actions.
To assign an action, simply click on the dropdown next to the button you wish to assign and select from the list.
To assign a custom Star Rating and/or Color Label click on the last selection, at the bottom of the list. Then simply select the desired combination.
Step 3. Cull Away
When you're done assigning actions, move your cursor over an image and you will see it took the shape of a spray can. To use it, simply hover over an image and press the left or right-click button of your mouse.
