When using an AI Profile to edit with Aftershoot, you have a selection of options when it comes to AI Cropping.
Once you have uploaded your album and culled it if you wanted to, head to the Edit tab. Look for AI Cropping in the right-hand side panel and enable its toggle.
Note: You can use AI cropping together with an AI Editing Profile or skip the editing by selecting Crop & Straighten Only from the AI Profile dropdown.
Once enabled, there are two choices you need to make from two existing dropdowns. The first is the type of crop that you wish to have.
General - Loose maintains more of the surrounding scene by leaving more space around the subject.
General - Aggressive brings the subject closer and removes more of the surrounding scene.
Headshot - Close focuses on the subjectâs head, cropping out the shoulders.
Headshot - Medium is a tighter crop with a focus on the subjectâs head, but leaves the shoulders in the image.
Headshot - Wide is a wider crop that focuses on the subjectâs head, shoulders, and torso.
Portrait - Auto is an intelligent crop that adjusts to every image separately and applies consistent framing across all of them.
You can expect your images to go from this while uncropped.
To such a result after Aftershoot uses AI Cropping on them.
The second choice is the aspect ratio of the image. This one is self-descriptive, just choose the one that suits your needs the best.
