Your clients and their guests can have an easier time browsing the images in your galleries by looking up only those with a specific guest. Here’s how that can be done.
Client Side
Once inside the gallery, the client needs to click on the Search Photos button in the upper right corner.
In the right-hand sidebar that will appear, they will see thumbnails of every face that the AI detected in your gallery. To filter images by face, all they have to do is click on the face or faces (multiple selections are possible) they want to see, and then press the Search button in the lower right corner.
Now the gallery is only going to display images where the selected faces are present.
The client can further control which images are shown from the dashboard above the images. If multiple faces were selected, the client can select At least one shown – which will include all images where at least one of the faces is present. Selecting Everyone Together will only display the images where ALL the selected faces are present.
If the client wants to deselect one of the faces, all they have to do is click on the X icon next to the face. They can also click on Clear All if they wish to deselect all the faces at once.
Clicking the Add More + button on the dashboard will bring back the right-hand sidebar, from which the client can select more faces.
If a guest can’t find their face between the thumbnails, there’s the option to take a selfie. The AI will analyze it and match it to images in the gallery. To take the selfie, they need to click on the thumbnail with a camera on it.
On the new screen, they will be prompted to place their face in the frame on the screen and click on the Capture button.
Afterward, their face will appear in the sidebar, and they can proceed by selecting it.
Photographer Side
Customize how and if clients and their guests search for images in your galleries. To begin, open up a gallery and go to settings. There, select AI Tools in the left-hand sidebar.
Here, you have three choices. You can enable or disable search by face by enabling the toggle next to Enable AI Selfie Search. If you enable it, you can choose between Open Search, which will let guests look through all the images. And Gated Access, which will let guests see only the images in which they are present.
