One sure way to speed up a process and save time is to use shortcuts. Once you get used to Aftershoot Retouching, you’ll find that these keyboard combos can be instrumental.

Switch between the Face, Body, and Patch tabs by pressing the following key combinations:

  • Face Tab - Shift + F

  • Body Tab - Shift + B

  • Patch Tab - Shift + J

To cycle down through retouching sliders, press the Tab key, and Shift + Tab for the opposite.

Once you’ve settled on a slider, use the ↑ (up) and ↓ (down) arrow keys to increase and decrease its value by 1. Use the Shift +↑ (up) and Shift + ↓ (down) combinations to change the slider value by 5.

To copy the retouching sliders adjustments from one image to another, use CMD/ CTRL + C and CMD/ CTRL + V to paste.

When using Patch or Correction, use the [ key to decrease the Brush size and the ] key to increase the brush size.

To see a recap of all the retouching adjustments you made to an image, press the H key to open History. If you want to see how the original image looked Before, press the / key. Press it once more to see the After again.

If you want to take a different look at the image, use CMD/ CTRL + [ to rotate an image to the left and CMD/ CTRL + ] to rotate to the right.

To zoom into a specific part of the image, place your cursor on that area and press the Space button.

While in Patch or Correction and zoomed into an image, hold the Shift key and left-click on your mouse or trackpad, and move the cursor to look at another part of the image, without zooming out.
